If you are looking to invite a black-capped chickadee bird to your yard, then this bird house is for you. Because this Black-Capped Chickadee Bird House Plan calls for a 1 3/8 hole you should have no problem attracting a chickadee bird family to come a nest in it. You also don’t really need to worry about getting sparrows in your bird house because of the size of the hole.
As you will notice in the design the hole is on a particular side. This is not a must. You can switch the sides around and have the entrance hole on the opposite side because it will not make any difference to the effectiveness of the bird house.
Where Can It Be Mounted?
This bird house can be installed on a tree, a fence, or wall. Screws should do just fine when mounting the bird house.
