Thanks for the plans, but how high is the hole????
    Is that important?

I am using your plans because it is the largest with and has a 2 1/4 inch hole. Our family’s home has been the home of a woodpecker family for five years. They nest in the wall above our bed and have been driving us crazy. But they are beautiful creatures and we don’t want to kick them out. The last of the babies flew away yesterday and we want to put ‘your’ house on top of the existing hole so they will return next year, but have a private home. Think it will work?

We live in the Sierra Nevada mountain range at 6,700 ft. Our woodpeckers are HUGE and I think the hole in the side of our house is ~3″ in diameter. The last of the babies could hardly fit through it when it flew away.

      Hey Leo,

The house should work well. Do you know what type of woodpeckers they are?
